Our partnership with a variety of associations helps make a difference in the local community and the environment of Westchester, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Community involvement and professional growth are at the core of Emerald Tree & Shrub Care's values.
We are proud members of the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA), the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as well as well as a variety of state and local groups. Below are some of the key organizations we are active members of.
International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)
The International Society of Arboriculture, through research, technology, and education, promotes the professional practice of arboriculture and fosters a greater worldwide awareness of the benefits of trees. Emerald's ISA Certified Arborists have the knowledge and confidence to provide quality service for your tree care needs and demonstrates advanced skills with client interaction and ethical conduct. We are a Gold Star award Winner for tree preservation through ISA.
Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA)
Established in 1938, the Tree Care Industry Association is a trade association of more than 2,000 commercial tree care firms and affiliated companies. TCIA develops safety and education programs, standards of tree care practice, and management information for arboriculture firms around the world.
Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association
The Connecticut Grounds Keepers Association is a not for profit organization who serves landscaping firms and their allied manufacturers and distributors. They provide professional development and networking opportunities for our members and the green industry in our state. Their contributions towards lobbying help protect our industry, and our endowed scholarship program at UCONN helps ignite our future.
Connecticut Tree Protective Association
CTPA is an educational association dedicated to advancing the care of Connecticut’s trees. Currently, there are over 780 members, of whom approximately three-quarters are licensed arborists. About two-thirds of the licensed arborists in Connecticut are CTPA members. The Association seeks to accomplish its purpose through educational events, regular workshops, outreach and publicity, and through the example provided by membership.
MetGCSA
The MetGCSA is an association of Golf Course Superintendents committed to the science and art of golf course management for the welfare of the game of golf. The MetGCSA has a rich history of promoting the welfare of the game of golf along with the science and art of golf course management.
New York State Arborists ISA Chapter
The New York State Arborists, International Society of Arboriculture Chapter, Inc. is an association of professional arborists and educators that promotes public interest, fosters research and education in the care and benefits of trees, shrubs and their environment. Their mission is to promote public interest, foster research and education in the care and benefit of trees, shrubs and their environment.
New York State Turf & Landscape Association (NYSTLA)
The New York State Turf & Landscape Association is a professional trade organization operating in New York State. The basic purpose is to promote professionalism in the landscape industry through continual education.
Metro Hort Group
Metro Hort Group, Inc. is an association of horticulture professionals in New York City and Tri-State area. The mission of Metro Hort is to provide opportunities for horticultural education, networking and employment for the public and private sectors, with the goal of cultivating a more attractive, sustainable, and green environment.
Domestic Estate Management Association
The Domestic Estate Managers Association (DEMA) is a worldwide educational association for the Private Service Community. Founded in 2007, DEMA provides a forum for Private Service professionals and certified service vendors interested in serving and protecting the best interests of their clients and raising industry standards.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
BBB maintains Business Reviews on more than 4.5 million businesses and rates them based on complaint histories, responsiveness to customers, licensing, legal and government action, and other factors. Only Accredited Businesses that meet the BBB Code of Business Practices are permitted to display the BBB logo in their marketing and place of business.
New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber of Commerce of New Rochelle is a voluntary, multifaceted organization composed of business firms, professional men and women, and public-spirited citizens. The Chamber’s primary concerns are publicizing and developing commercial and industrial opportunities, seeing to the needs of its membership and promoting the City of New Rochelle.
