Arborist Representative

Arborist Representatives receive paid training, enabling them to become experts in our industry from day one.

Training

  • 3-4 months working with our Plant Health Care crew to learn various processes, including scout inspections, inoculations, root pruning, & more
  • 3-4 months working with our General Tree care crews to learn about proper tree and shrub care maintenance, safety and ANSI guidelines, equipment use, maintenance work, & more
  • 3-4 months working with Emerald Certified Arborists to review customer relations, client retention, prospecting, strategic alliance development, scheduling, & more, under the direction of the Vice President of Arboricultural Services

Responsibilities

  • Supply the sales manager with reports on client needs, problems, interests, and potential new services to sell in the future within your assigned territory
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain business relationships with pre-existing and potential clients to generate new business for the organization
  • Expedite resolutions of client problems and complaints
  • Prepare proposals and follow up ongoing new job proposals
  • Contact homeowners and commercial clients to solicit reviews and referrals
  • Develop new business, prepare, and present proposals and perform ongoing new job estimates
  • Follow-up on payments for services rendered

Qualifications

  • Must have hands-on knowledge and a passion for trees, shrubs, and the environment
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • Must have good people skills
  • Valid, clean Driver’s License
  • Develop new business, prepare, and present proposals, and perform ongoing new job estimates
  • Be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
  • The position is full-time, year-round, and involves a good mix of office and off-site work, visiting properties, overseeing locations, and promoting good business
