Plant Health Care Technician

We are looking for highly skilled technicians with experience applying fertilization and pest management treatments using spray and injection tools.  Our technicians also must obtain excellent customer service skills and the desire to learn and grow within the role. Responsibilities include:

-Must safely handle chemicals: measuring, mixing and applying with attention to detail.

-Ability to diagnose and prescribe treatment for variety of diseases and infestations and then document these findings with a written report for customers.

-Tree and shrub identification and knowledge of the risks associated with each.

-Monitor, evaluate, and provide the plant health care needed for each customer’s property.

-Perform all functions of the our integrated pest management program.

-Consult with customers and share guidance and expertise with respect to their landscape.


Climber

Our tree climbers are a key player in all tree care jobs performed.  They must be able to take direction, strictly follow safety procedures and be a go getter, willing to do whatever is needed to get a job done.  This is a full time job, that requires availability 6 days per week.  Responsibilities include:

-Tree pruning based on ANSI A300 Standards

-Tree removal

-Use of heavy equipment such as aerial lift, chippers, chainsaw, as well as rope and saddle.

-Installation of cables and bracing

-Skilled knots and rigging techniques

-Valid Driver’s License required

-Compensation based on experience


Ground Man

Our ground men always work under the direct supervision of an experienced arborist.  You will learn the proper methods for tree trimming, tree removal and stump grinding.  This is a fantastic beginner position for anyone looking to become an arborist; In fact, many of our own arborists, started as ground men.  This is a full-time position, with the following responsibilities:

-Provide support for other crew members by controlling lowering ropes, limbs and person from aloft

-Supplying tools for tree workers

-Controlling road and sidewalk traffic as needed

-Cutting, chipping and loading brush and wood

-Proper job site cleanup

-Valid driver’s license is required.

-Compensation based on experience.


Arborist/Sales

Full time position for an arborist with a minimum of 2 years experience. Responsibilities include:

-Service and grow current and prospective clients in assigned area

-Monitor landscapes and diagnose problems

-Set up crews, supervise work and handle all aspects of customer communication.

-Develop new business, prepare and present proposals and perform ongoing new job estimates.

-Must have hands-on knowledge of trees and ornamentals.

-ISA arborist certification or ability to obtain within 12 months

-Valid driver’s license is required.

-Compensation based on experience.
