At Emerald Tree Care we take pride in ourselves by saying that “we are a full service Tree and Shrub care organization”. Many times however, people ask us what exactly is a “full service” tree and shrub care company? The following is a listing of the many services we supply our clients.

  • Tree and Shrub pruning – An integral part of normal property maintenance is the periodic pruning of branches that have excessive growth, or are dead, weak, diseased or poorly structured.
  • Tree Removal – Occasionally, tree removal becomes the only solution to a given problem. Whether it is a dead, weak or diseased tree that poses a threat to a property. Or a new project that will cause irreparable damage to a tree’s root system sometimes removal is the only option.
  • Cabling / Bracing systems – A practice that includes the use of braided wire cables and threaded through rods to assist in supporting large limbs.
  • Lightning protection – The installation of lightning rods and ground wires in large, important and irreplaceable trees in order to capture the electric charge from a lightning strike and run it harmlessly away from the tree.
  • Custom Blend Deep Root Fertilization – The testing and treatment of nutritional deficiencies based upon each plant’s particular need. Both plant tissue and soil samples are taken and tested to determine what nutritional deficiencies exist for a particular plant or plantings. After which a custom blend of fertilizer containing both macro and micro- nutrients and beneficial fungi are hydraulically injected into the soil profile around the root zone of the plants. This allows for immediate uptake and use by the plant to make the necessary corrections in the deficiencies.
  • Wood Density / Hazard Tree analysis – The use of highly specialized equipment to extract and examine wood core samples from trees that are suspected as being weak or dangerous. After they are extracted these samples are examined to determine if there is soft, rotten or hollow areas within the main trunk. This process allows us to determine if the tree in question has a probable risk of failure.
  • Root zone excavation and invigoration – The process in which the soil profile located around the root system is removed via air spade. After which any girdling or damaged roots are removed and a mixture of new soil, compost and leaf mold is added to the soil profile invigorated the root systems.
  • Flea and tick control – An important part of maintaining a safe environment in our backyards and play areas for our family members and their pets. The threat of Lyme Disease infecting one of our loved ones is imminent while enjoying the outdoors. Our combination of testing for high concentrations of deer ticks and treatment with foliar applications and daminix tubes have proven to drastically reduce the number of ticks on our clients properties.
  • Integrated Pest Management – The practice of monitoring insect and disease activity and once a threshold level has been reached, the use of a combination of different methods and or tools for maintenance of plant health on your property.
  • 24 hour Emergency Service – When you call us, we respond right away. We are more than “fair weather friends” and realize the stress and anxiety that our clients experience during foul weather and the damage to one’s property that may accompany it. It is our commitment to assist in any way we can in order to restore your property as quickly as possible.
  • Property analysis – Our expert certified arborists perform thorough property inspections twice yearly as part of our commitment to keeping our clients informed on the condition of their valuable trees and plantings.
  • Plant site analysis – We will gladly discuss with you or your landscaper on proper sight selection for new plantings.
  • Deer Protection Systems – We help protect your property’s valuable plantings from deer browsing during the winter season by strategically placing temporary fencing and applying deer resistant materials to the foliage.
